A lot has changed since we first launched this program back in 2014, including the creation of our two sister restaurants, Township and Centrale. We heard from the runners that they would like to have the opportunity to enjoy these new restaurants, so we decided to bring Centrale and Township into the mix.

Starting July 6, the new and improved Social Runners program will now be held every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday,where each location will give you a free drink just for running. Here's how it works:

1) Buy your Social Runners dri-fit shirt (we will still honor previous Social Runners shirts)

2) Wear your shirt and go for a run on Thursday, Saturday and/or Sunday. You choose your route (honor system)

3) After your run, come to that day's location with your shirt on and redeem your free drink during the selected time

4) Soak up the feeling of victory with your free alcoholic beverage

Tuesday - Locate your life jacket and find a floating door, this week's Trivia is covering all things Titanic. Registration begins at 6:30 and trivia will start at 7pm.

Thursday - Late night happy hour strikes again. Join us for happy hour from 4pm-7pm and then again from 10pm - close. Happy hour includes deals on select sociables, beer cocktails, house wine and select draft beer.

Friday - Last day to complete the June Challenge and earn your Social Summer Drinker Tee or Tank.

Saturday & Sunday - Brunch will be going strong from 10am-4pm. The Mocha Latte Pancake stack begins this Saturday. Lehhhhhgo.

After brunch, you will receive two tokens good for a core beer at Proof. Pretty much the best Sunday ever if you ask us.

Monday - Monday's suck, drink some beers during happy hour from 4pm - 7pm.

Tuesday - We are bringing back the 90's with our 90's Sing-A-Long Trivia. Registration starts at 6:30.

Wednesday - The best day of the month. Reuben Day. We start selling our Reubens at 11:30am and they are available until we sell out.

Thursday - Join us for Tallahassee's best late night happy hour from 10pm-2am. Select deals on Sociables, wells, beer and wine

Saturday - We've got a lot going on this Saturday, here's the run down:

• From 11am - 3pm we will be celebrating any and all dog birthdays for the month of May. We will have a dog bone cake and pupsicles available for your furry friends.
• From 4 - 8pm is The Tallahassee Pizza Festival. It's pretty much every pizza lovers dream. Centrale is teaming up with MoMo's, Dave's Pizza Garage, and Gaines Street/Midtown/Northside Pies to put on Tallahassee's first ever pizza festival. There's No Place Like Doak - To celebrate 100 days until the Seminoles take on the Ole Miss Rebels in Orlando, we will have No Place Like Doak Glasses (pictured above) for sale for $10 with a Bud Light or Rolling Rock. Also, we will be playing the 2013 National Championship game throughout the restaurant.

Stage 1: The utter excitement of seeing the shirt design for the first time on twitter or instagram. You tag EVERYONE!

Stage 2: Calling/texting the entire squad to figure out when you can all meet up to begin the challenge.

Stage 3: Asking for the card and carefully reading all the drink names and wondering what they have in them and what they taste like and then you see one and you're like Ohhhhhhh, interesting.

Visit a local brewery - If you have not been to one of Tallahassee's local breweries, this is the week to do so. Swing by Proof Brewing Company and pick up a six pack of 850 Pale Ale cans or sit and try one of their awesome treatments; if they have the raspberry kissing giants, go with that. Also, check out what GrassLands brewing company has on tap. If their Hopline Bling is available, it can only mean one thing. Looking for something a bit lighter? Definitely try the G-Street Kolsch.

Tallahassee Brew District's Four Legged Dog Crawl - What's better than a great craft beer? Enjoying that craft beer with your dog. On Saturday May 21 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, bring your pup out for a leisurely brawl crawl along the Tallahassee Brew District (Madison Social, The Brass Tap - Downtown, GrassLands Brewing Company, Proof Brewing Company). Each location will have something for the pups. Madison Social will have pupsicles, The Brass Tap will have some tasty dog treats, GrassLands will have a dog photo booth and Proof will have an adoption booth setup.

Try a beer cocktail - If you are more of a cocktail person, American Craft Beer Week is a great opportunity to expand your palate with a delicious beer cocktail. Here at Madison Social we have a great menu of delicious beer cocktails that feature some great craft beers. The High Tee is a great option for a sunny day on the patio. If you're coming for brunch, check out the Hair of the Bulldog and Maple Awakening. Beer cocktails are also featured on our Happy Hour menu every Monday - Friday from 4:00-7:00pm.

We are going to have two redemption days, Wednesday April 20 and Thursday April 28. Here is how it will work:

1. While in line, you will be handed a half sheet of paper with all the bucket list items. Check off which items you completed.
2. Take this half sheet of paper with your bucket (if you received one), receipts and pictures to one of our Tallahassee Bucket List team members. To make it easier for check-in, if your pictures are saved on your phone please have them all saved in one album.
3. A Tallahassee Bucket List team member will verify all of your activities and sign your half sheet of paper. They will also refund your dollar if you returned your bucket.
4. Take that half sheet of paper to the merchandise table and hand it to the Tallahassee Bucket List team member. Tell them your shirt/tank size. They will grab your shirt/tank and give you your pint glass, koozie and ticket for free drink from HH menu.
5. Go enjoy your HH drink with the satisfaction you completed the Tallahassee Bucket List.

1. St. Practice Day

Because practice makes perfect, get ready for the big day with St. Practice Day on Saturday, March 12th. From 6-10pm, wear your best green outfit and receive a free Rolling Rock draught or Seanny Mac (Paddy's Irish Whiskey, Peach Schnapps, and Ginger Ale). 2. St. Paddy's Day Social

We're kicking things off on early on St. Patricks Day, March 17th. We open at 10am, ready to fill your belly with a MadSo Reuben. If you've got your O'Social Drinker shirt on, you can pair that with a Dublin Mule on us. Paddy's Irish Whiskey, freshly strawberries, lime juice and ginger beer will make you feel like you're running through a field of four leaf clovers.

3. Tallahassee Brew District Pot of Gold Pub Crawl

The fun doesn't stop there. Follow the rainbow to the pot of gold at the Tallahassee Brew District Pot of Gold Bar Crawl. You can start and end the crawl at any of the four Brew District Locations- Madison Social, Proof Brewing Company, Brass Tap and GrassLands Brewing. Pick up the Pot of Gold card, buy a beer at each location and collect your gold in the form of a free Brew District pint glass. Each location opens at 10am so you'll have plenty of time to bar crawl your heart away.

The Maple Awakening

In a 16oz pint glass filled with ice, combine 1.5oz of maple bourbon, 4oz of Lucky Goat Cold Brew Concentrate and 2oz of milk. Shake and pour contents into 16oz glass.

The Irish Awakening

Pour 3oz of Lucky Goat Cold Brew Concentrate into a 16oz pint glass. Fill rest of glass with Guinness Irish Stout.

Lucky Cabra

In a 16oz pint glass with a salted rim, combine 1.5oz of Dirty Tequila (the cinnamon and pineapple infused variety, not that gross stuff that's been in your liquor cabinet since 2004), 1oz Creme de Cacao and 3oz of Lucky Goat Cold Brew Concentrate.

Watchdog Rock - Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley

This highly rated cabernet sauvignon is full-bodied bursting with cassis, toast, molasses, mocha, nutmeg and wild blackberries integrated by muscular tannins and impeccable structure. Basically, it’s a damn good glass of red.

19 Crimes - Shiraz / Pinot Noir / Grenache / Cabernet Sauvignon, Southeastern Australia

The bright hues of dark berry fruits shine as the strong vanilla aroma rises from the glass. Flavors of chocolate and cedar spice are accomplices in a finish that is soft, fruity, and fresh. Basically, not trying this wine should be the 20th crime.

CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS:

Kir Royale - Black Raspberry Liqueur, Champagne, Lemon Twist

The Kir Royale is a classic spin on an even more classic cocktail, the Kir. While the Kir is berry liqueur topped with, typically white, wine, the Kir Royale is berry liqueur topped with champagne. The Kir and Kir Royale are definitive staples among wine and champagne cocktails.

Upper East Side - American Honey Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Champagne, Cherry

The Upper East Side is a bubbly rendition of the classic Manhattan cocktail. The sweetness from the American honey and champagne are not overwhelming, but instead play to make a lighter derivation of the most classic of New York cocktails.

WINE COCKTAIL:

The Catalina Wine Spritzer: Peach Schnapps, Blackberries, Mint, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sierra Mist

We wanted to create a combination of a good Smash or Cobbler (classic cocktail with wine, sugar and fresh fruit) with the idea of a wine spritzer. The addition of the Sierra Mist lightens the mouth-feel and overall flavor of the cocktail. This addition is what makes it a spritzer.

Zach graduated with a Bachelor of Science from FSU in 2008 and added to his impressive credentials with a Masters in Media Communication Studies in 2014. He occasionally shares his knowledge with today’s bright young students as a member of the Florida State University faculty. He joined Madison Social in February 2014 and the rest is history...

Let’s get social with Zach.

Q: What is your favorite dish and favorite drink at Madison Social?

A: My favorite dish would have to be the Fresh Catch, grilled with a side of brussels sprouts with bacon. My favorite drink is the Fresca Libre.

Q: What does your perfect day off look like?

A: Probably a light workout, a solid nap and an excellent concert.

Q: What is your favorite Madison Social memory?

A: The exciting finish to the Notre Dame game two years ago. Specifically, the explosion of cheers that occurred afterwards.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or bar in Tallahassee? (besides Madison Social, of course.)

A: Backwoods Bistro, definitely their brunch. Highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. Favorite bar would be Liberty. You can’t go wrong with any cocktail at Liberty. And their Fish Tacos...fish tacos for life.

Q: What is the most unusual or interesting job you had before coming to Madison Social?

A: I taught high school english. British Literature and FCAT Writes coach. It was quite an adventure.

Q: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to be cast as you?

A: Well there’s who I want to be cast as me and the obvious answer. I would say Daniel Day Lewis, but of course the obvious answer would be Kristover Hivju who plays Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones. (We’ve provided a picture for comparison)

Q: If you could be any animal, what animal would you be and why?

A: I would be a sea otter because they are playful and the most adorable creatures on God’s green Earth. And they have a fun, goodnatured spirit about them. But they are not to be trifled with! Do not try to catch a sea otter. Also, at least one of them can play basketball...I’ve seen it.

So the next time you see Zach slinging drinks, give him a fist bump and call him Tormund.

First we must travel back to the 19th century where the British Indian Army had many soldiers that often craved a good beer. But the only real option available to them was a lukewarm, dark, heavy porter.

Ships would leave out of the East India Company’s headquarters in East London with supplies for the Army and a little taste of home in the form of beer, but with a six month trip to India this beer would often arrive stale, infected, or worse, not at all - the barrels having leaked or broken en route.

This very serious issues prompted George Hodgson of Bow Brewery, to experiment on how to create a beer that can both withstand the harsh six month journey to India and still taste great. After many failed attempts, Hodgson’s last attempt was to offer the men a few casks of a strong, pale beer called barleywine or “October beer. The beer was syrupy, strong, loaded with just-picked hops, brewed rich and aged for years in order to mellow out. This beer was sure to be sturdy enough to hold up during the 6 month passage to India.

So what you ended up with was a pale ale that used a large amount of hops to survive the journey from London to India and from there the India Pale Ale was born.

Today, brewmasters have taken this historical beer style and built upon its legacy with styles like the West Coast IPA or Double IPA. So if you’re an IPA fanatic or interested in trying a variety of different style IPAs, make sure to “hop” in before the end of the month and take the January IPA challenge and show off your newfound beer knowledge.

After months of R&D, we have debuted a brand new brunch menu that is damn-near perfection. If garlic-parmesan herb tots and charred jalapeño cheddar fondue doesn’t get your mouth watering, we’re not sure what will.

Here’s what we added:

Hot Totty- herb-parmesan tossed tater tots, shredded short rib, charred jalapeño cheddar fondue, Sriracha drizzle, scallions

Avocado Toast- multi-grain toast, mashed avocado, sea salt, sliced grape tomato, roasted garlic-lemon arugula

The Gouda, The Bowl, & the Eggy- sauteed red onion, kale, spinach, smoked gouda scrambled eggs, sliced avocado and Sriracha swirl, multi-grain toast

The Stack- hot cocoa pancakes with a honey marshmallow butter, stay tuned for next month’s signature pancake flavor

The Bradley’s Club- griddled Bradley’s sausage, scrambled egg with peppers and onions, cheddar cheese, belgian waffle bun

And because brunch without alcohol is just a late breakfast, we’ve addedone new brunch Sociable.

Rooster Crows- Proof La La Land IPA, fresh lime, amber agave, Sriracha, half salt rim

Here’s what we changed:

Guinness Glazed Chicken and Waffles are now Spiced Honey Chicken & Waffles with buttermilk fried chicken, sharp cheddar-herb waffle, spiced local honey drizzle and maple-pepper bacon crumbs

The Steak Benedict is now the Pork Belly Benny with twin poached eggs, mashed avocado, crispy thick cut pork belly, smoked paprika hollandaise on a grilled English muffin

However to make room for these amazing new menu items, we had to make some tough decisions about what items had to come off. Here are the items that didn’t make the cut:

So come out and try our new dishes or continue to enjoy your old favorites, at brunch every Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm.

Metered spaces on Madison Street. These spaces are managed by the city and will cost $0.50 per hour.

Free lot south of Urban Outfitters. This lot is managed by the landlord and is free from 11am to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Weekday Evenings/Nights and Weekends:

Lot located at the corner of Woodward Avenue and St. Augustine Street. These spaces are free after 4:30pm.

The St. Augustine parking garage. These spaces are free after 4:30pm.

Metered spaces on Madison Street. These spaces are free.(see picture above)

Lot south of Urban Outfitters. These lots are paid lots. (see pictures above)

• The shrimp lettuce wraps have shifted from the handhelds section to the social plates section.
• The grouper sandwich is now the fresh catch of the day so we can provide you with some seasonal fish options when they become available. It also will now come with our basil serrano slaw and ginger remoulade on a brioche bun.
• The steak sandwich and steak frites are now made with a sliced bistro filet rather than a sliced flank steak. Also the steak frites now comes topped with a coffee mushroom gravy and served with rosemary parmesan fries.

A few notes on delivery:

1. The name Penny means something- the cost of delivery to the customer is only $.01. So, consider it free.

2. Penny has invested in heated bags to make sure food is kept warm.

3. We are working on to-go packaging so food integrity can remain as close to a restaurant experience as possible.

4. We will never deliver brunch. Sorry hungover people on Saturdays and Sundays.

5. We will have some blackout times...football games would be an excellent example of one of those times.
